Maria E. Salazar, MSN, APRN, ACNPC-AG

Maria Salazar is an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with 18 years of experience as a critical care nurse within the Baptist Health System. Born and raised in San Antonio, she began her career in healthcare as a Surgical Technologist in the operating room in 2000. NP Salazar earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and most recently her Master of Science in Nursing - Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner degree from Walden University in 2023. As a new nurse practitioner, she is eager to apply her experience, skills and compassion to promote vascular health and make a positive impact in her patients' lives. NP Salazar is proficient in Spanish. 

Aside from patient care, Maria enjoys spending time with her husband and two teenage boys, cooking for family gatherings and going for walks on local hiking trails.
